Shari and Christian captured the lead

To the delight of the homecrowd Germany`s Shari KOCH / Christian NÜCHTERN  took the lead in the Junior Short Dance. Gabriella PAPADAKIS / Guillaume CIZERON (FRA) placed second and Italy`s Sofia SFORZA / Francesco FIORETTI finished third. KOCH / NÜCHTERN collected 61,14 points, Gabriella PAPADAKIS / Guillaume CIZERON  earned 58,36 points and Sofia SFORZA / Francesco FIORETTI captured  55,40 points. “

KOCH / NÜCHTERN delivered a solid short dance. Their coach Oleg Rykin was pretty satisfied. „I am happy, that Shari and Koch put out a very confident program although the pressure was pretty high. The french team was placed in front of us in both Grand Prixs, they are second in the world at the moment. It was not easy to enter the ice after their performance so I am pleased that we took the lead. I hope the Free Dance tomorrow will be as good as the Short Dance.

Gabriella PAPADAKIS / Guillaume CIZERON currently ranked second

The French coach Romain Hagenauer told us „I am pretty satisfied with my couple. There were some little mistakes, Gabriela stepped out of two rotations, but nothing serious. We are on our way to prepare for the Junior Grand Prix Final and made some changes
to both programs after the last Grand Prix. The competition here in Dortmund is the competition where we try these changes. I hope we win the Free Dance tomorrow. I expect a clean performance, which shows all the work we had the last time.
The couple is  very talented. They are both very young and can remain in the Junior class for two years, but maybe we will change to the Senior class next year.“
